A survey by Reading Group Choices shows that 25% of reading group members are using e-books. Most e-books were read on the Amazon Kindle (59%), with the Barnes & Noble Nook now in second place at 26%. Almost 20% of reading group members who read e-books used a tablet.

Amazon Kindle has a textbook rental program available to students. This will mean up to an 80% savings. They are also offering Whispersync so the students are able to keep their notes & highlights from the book even after they stop renting. http://www.amazon.com/kindletextbooks This is monumental for eBooks as the new standard.
Print books sales are have dropped 10.2% in the last six months. The biggest decline was in adult fiction -25.7%.
